On Wednesday, we went to the State Fair. We saw horses, cows, goats, sheep, pigs, chicks, and many other sites! It was extremely hot, but we still enjoyed the day! Kellen did remarkably well. He didn't fuss at all and really enjoyed riding face forward in his stroller.

Messy Clean-up
Where do I start? It appeared to be like any other Monday morning; I got Kellen up and fed him. He had been a little congested over the past few days, nothing serious. He finished his bottle, and I sat him down on his boppy on the couch and I went to put the empty bottle in the sink. All of sudden I heard him choking. I thought, "great he's spitting up again". I looked over to find him spewing at the mouth and covered from head to toe in his over throw-up. What a mess!
I didn't even know where to start. He was covered, my couch was covered, the floor was covered...disgusting! So I grabbed him up and took him upstairs to the bath tub. After I got him all cleaned up, I came back down stairs to assess the damage. Thank God for friends with steam cleaners! Now my couch looks better than ever! Praise God, there's no after smell and thankfully it only happened that one time.
Needless to say, I never made it to work that day.

Knitting
Last Friday me and my co-workers took a knitting class together. It was something that I have always wanted to learn, but never knew anyone that could teach me. So after a few hours of sweat and tears, I think I finally started to get it! This is my first project, a simple dishcloth. So far its not looking to bad. I'm about half way done. My goal is to be able to knit scarfs. I tend to spend a lot of money every winter buying new ones, so maybe this year I can model one of my own!

Lucy
"Louis, I think this is the beginning of a beautiful frienship." - Casablanca
Lucy, our three year old Boston Terrier is becoming more and more brave each day. When we first brought Kellen home, she seemed a little depressed and kind of kept to herself. Now I can see that they are starting to become friends. I can't wait until Kellen starts to get around on his own. He'll have so much fun chasing after her.

Day at the Beach
Last week we took the day off to take Kellen and Travis (my nephew) to the beach. We packed up the car and headed down to Lewes for the day. The weather was beautiful, 80 degrees with a nice breeze! The water was a little chilly on his little feet, but he enjoyed feeling the sand between his toes. Not long after we arrived, he took a short nap in the tent. I didn't realize how much stuff we would have to take down on the beach with us, now that we have a baby. I'm so glad we got there early and found a close parking spot. It was a great day!

Well-Visit
Kellen went to the doctor today for a well-vist. He's 16 lbs 11 oz, and 25 1/2 inches long. That puts him in the 90th percentile for weight and the 75th percentile for height. Doctor says he's doing very well! He did have to get two shots today, but he was very brave. He stopped crying before I could even get him picked up off the table (this was quite an improvement from the last visit). As you can see he's starting to sit-up on his own and is really interested in his surroundings. He spends a lot of his time just watching the dogs move about the house. He's even starting to reach out to them. Lucy steals a kiss every now and then when I'm not watching!
