Childrens Museum

We had been wanting to take Kellen to the Childrens Museum for awhile now, but just weren't quite sure if he was too young for the exhibits.  Since Daddy finally got a day off, we decided to try it out.  Mom-Mom Besty also came along to spend the day with us.  The museum was perfect, even for little ones.  It wasn't too big, just enough stuff to keep his interest, and not get completely exhausted walking around.  It was great to have a place he could go run and explore on his own.  He loved the trains and crawling through the tunnels.  We also sat in on a fort building session and storytime.  Of course, he doesn't sit still very long so he didn't listen to much of the story, but he had a good time watching the other kids.  It was a great day, we look forward to taking him back when he's a little older and can enjoy some of the more advanced exhibits.

Moving...Again

You may already know that we are getting ready to relocate to NC for Billy's job.  We sold our house in June and have been staying with Grammy and Howard for the past two months.  Several weeks ago we went house hunting and found a very cute, two story home.  We were able to spend several days last week in the new home, unpacking and cleaning.  We are now back home and preparing for the final move at the end of August.  I wasn't sure how Kellen would do with all the change, but he seems to be adjusting well.  He was so excited to see all his toys again.  (They had been in storage for the past two months.)  It was like Christmas!  I also think the girls (Nikki & Lucy) will be very happy in the new home.  It has a good size, fenced back yard for them to roam around in.  Here are a few pictures of the new place.  Although it is hard to say good-bye to so many friends and family, we are looking forward to getting settled into our new home away from home.

Yesterday the weather was beauftiful, so we took advantage and spent some time outdoors coloring the sidewalks .  It was nice not to have to worry about Kellen coloring on the walls or the carpet.  I could just let him go to town.  Now the sidewalks are full of vibrant colors!

Packing for NC

Kellen helped pack for our trip to NC.  We went down for a week to unload and try to settle in a little bit.  We are back now and are enjoying are last few weeks here at home before the big move.
