Water Park

Last weekend we got to spend a few days down at the beach with some family.   Since the weather was so hot, we decided to take Kellen to a water park instead of sitting on the beach.  They had a great baby pool and slides for the "big kids" (like daddy and uncle Keith).  Kellen loved the water, he was so sad when it was time to go.  We had a great day together!

Popsicle

On a hot summer day, we like to sit on the front porch and have a cold popsicle.  Yummy!

CHEER-i-o-s

What a big boy!  Kellen is eating cereal, in a  bowl, with a spoon, and milk!  I have to say that its so nice that he can finally feed himself (with utensils).  Its been a long battle (since the beginning), Kellen has always wanted to do things all by himself, which often made feeding time a struggle.  He seems so much happier and eats so much more!

Basket of Fun

Its funny how kids would rather play with everyday household objects instead of their toys.  Kellen occupies himself with the simplest things.

Happy 4th of July

We all got up early and headed down the street to watch the 4th of July parade.  This was Kellen's first parade.  He enjoyed the firetrucks and marching bands!  He was so cute waving his flag!

4th of July Party

We had lots of fun hanging out with friends celebrating the 4th.  There was good food, swimming, and fireworks!  Kellen loved it!  He just wanted to chase the big kids around.
Wo!

Kellen just wanted to run with the big boys!  He had fun chasing the ball all over!

Sand In My Toes

We took Kellen to the shore for the first time this summer.  What a difference from last year; now he's running down the beach, playing in the sand, and jumping in the water.  The weather was nice, not too hot and there was a great breeze.  The only thing he didn't enjoy was the hot sand on his feet.

My little lifeguard, on watch.
