Signs

We wanted to try to capture some of Kellen's signs before he stops using them.  He's learning new words everyday and signs less and less (which is the point, but still sad to see them go).

Animal Sounds

These days Kellen is really into animals, especially horses.  They are his second love, right after balls.  Here are a few of his favorites.  My favorite is the cat, MEOW!  He's also a big fan of Sesame Street.  He knows all the characters and can point them out by name in his books.

Just Chilling

Go Phillies!!

Just getting a little reading in before bed.
Just chilling, waiting for my breakfast.

Splash of Color

Being that we are not use to renting, we've been looking for small projects that we can do around the house that won't cost us much money.  The front door was pretty beat up and needed a new coat of paint.  I thought I'd try to brighten up the entry way with some color.  I'm still trying to decide if I like it or not.  The old door was more a mocha color.  Its now closer to a light turquoise.  What do you think?  Should it stay or should it go?  I can always paint it brown.

19 Months

I know that I am way behind on my posts, and just recently wrote about Kellen turning one and a half but today he is nineteen months.  Its hard to think that he's now closer to being two than one.  He's doing so many big boy things.  He walks down the street holding my hand, eats all by himself (wouldn't let me help if I tried), he asks for things by name (or sign), and will follow basic directions.  Today we got a real taste of Fall with temperatures in the 50's.  I had trouble finding clothes and shoes for him to wear.  He's out grown everything.  Guess its time to get some new things!

18 Months

This post is about a month past due...Kellen is almost 19 months now:

My baby turned 18 months today.  We saw the doctor for a well-visit today, and he is 25 lbs and 33 inches long and doing very well.  He is meeting all the milestones plus some.  His vocabulary has really increased over the past few weeks.  He knows all the members of Sesame Street, but Melmo (Elmo) is his favorite.  There's just something about that little furry red monster that kids can't get enough of.

Fish, fish, and more fish!

Before moving, we were able to get away for a day with friends.  We took the kiddos to the Baltimore Aquarium.  Kellen loved it.  He just walked around saying Ishhhh, Ishhhh (which is fish).   It was great to get away for the day and spend time together.  We can't wait to share more days and memories with the Dunphy clan!
This one is my favorite.  Emma's not one to miss out on a picture!
